How to withdraw PF without employer signature, attestation and approval?

The member who is unable to withdraw PF for any reason can apply without consent of employer. Many employees have skipped to withdraw their money while immigrating to abroad countries for permanent settlement. Mostly, the short term employed people are not following the withdrawal process while relieving from the company due to lack of information provided. Those employees may later come to know about the withdrawal process.

Unfortunately, when they try to apply through the previous company, the company may not exist for getting adequate information from concern department. That’s why the provident fund body always insists the members to collect their EPF account details while in service and the body also insists the employers nationwide to provide the appropriate account details to employees as well. The human resource departments from many corporate have incorporated topics to discuss about employees’ provident fund for newly joined employees to provide plenteous knowledge while conducting induction program. To withdraw PF without employer signature, attestation and approval follow these steps.

Step 1: Fill up FORM 19 for EPF (Employees Provident Fund) and FORM 10C for EPS (Employees’ Pension Scheme) separately.

Step 2: Get attestation on your withdrawal forms with official seal with any of the following authorized officials.
  • Any gazetted officer
  • The Magistrate
  • The Post/ Sub Post master
  • President of the Village Union
  • President of the Village Panchayat where there is no Union Board
  • Chairman/ Secretary/ Member of the Municipal/ District Local Board
  • Member of the Parliament or Legislative Assembly
  • Manager of the Bank in which your savings Bank Account is currently maintained
  • Head of Educational Institution which is recognized by Government
  • Any authorized official, as may be approved by the commissioner
Step 3: Submit your withdrawal FORM either physically or through speed post to EPFO office in which your EPF account is maintained.

The PF amount will be directly deposited to your bank account as you mentioned on application. You must carefully write down the bank account number, branch details and IFSC code on FORM 16 & FORM 10C without any mistakes. The member will receive acknowledge card from Regional Office/ Sub Accounts Office for confirmation. In case, if you have not received any intimation from PF office within a month, you can meet or write to your regional to Provident Fund Commissioner who is in charge of PF office. At the time of making a complaint, you must provide your EPF account number and date of submission. In some case, the matter is still remains unsettled or in event of any harassment the applicant can write down to Central Provident Fund Commissioner, Bhavishya Nidhi Bhawan, 14, Bhikaiji Cama Place, New Delhi – 110 066. Please remember that you cannot withdraw PF amount while working and also you should be unemployed for 2 months while applying.
